Unlikely Heroes

Leading up to Easter, we’ll be stepping away from our sermon series on Ephesians.

Time and time again in the Scriptures, we see examples of God using ordinary, every day kinds of people to do extraordinary things. Most of our “Heroes of the Faith” are really “Unlikely Heroes”.

Unlikely Heroes Hebrews 11-12

In March and April, we’ll be looking at the lives of some of the Unlikely Heroes of the Bible, like those listed in Hebrews 11, then finishing off with Hebrews 12:1-2.

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us,  fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.     ~Hebrews 12:1-2

Join us on Sundays, from now through the end of April, for the encouraging “Unlikely Heroes” sermon series.

Ephesians Series Continues in February

The Sermon Series on the book of Ephesians that we began in the Fall at Amazing Grace Community Church will continue in February.

We shifted gears and celebrated Christmas in December, then focused on God’s direction in preparation for our Annual Church Retreat in January.  In February, Pastor Rohan will be picking up where he left off with the series entitled “Who, Me, Jesus?”

Who, Me, Jesus? Ephesians February Series

We will be digging deeper into how the Ephesians were called by God, and the identity that created for them. What does that identity mean for us (me and you) today?  (Hint: It’s got something to do with Grace!)

Here’s a quick look at the remaining messages:

February 2ndThe Gospel Authority & Function  (Ephesians 1:21-23)

February 9thWhat’s Wrong with OUR IDENTITY (Ephesians 2:1-5)

February 16thA Gospel-Centred IDENTITY  (Ephesians 2:6-10)

Join us at Amazing Grace for the continuation of “Who, Me, Jesus?” on Sundays this February.
